DAPCEP Students, welcome to a KIDS ON TRACK experience!

IndyCar & IMSA Detroit Grand Prix

We can’t wait to have you join us at the track! In the meantime, have a look at our schedule for Saturday: we are going to start the day off with an exciting introduction to IMSA at the Acura Honda garages, then we are going to the Arrow Mclaren garages for a tech tour with our friend Matt, and we will be chatting with different engineers across the IndyCar and IMSA paddock!

Few steps to prepare for a great day at the track!

1) Follow the directions to the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Circuit.

See the attached google map for directions to the Detroit Street Circuit. Please plan accordingly so that you are able to meet at the meeting spot at the designated time. It is recommended that attendees arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled meeting time.

 

2) See below for a general Map of the Track

The meeting point is located in the Fan Zone at the Hart Plaza.

For your reference, please see below the map of the circuit.

3) Once you've made your way to the meeting spot at the Hart Plaza, you will meet your Kids on Track representative, Cate Masetti Zannini, who will be distributing the tickets!

If you have any issues finding the meeting location, please do not hesitate to text us!

We recommend texting, since race tracks are loud!

4) Additional "Know Before You Go" Items:

1. Please check the weather on the date of your event to ensure proper attire is worn to the track. If it is expected to rain, plan accordingly with rain attire, hooded jackets, and umbrellas. If it is expected to be warm, plan on dressing for the warmth as this is an outside event, and if needed bring a light jacket if it gets cooler.

2. This is a walking event, so please wear shoes you feel comfortable walking and standing in for the duration of the event.

3. Consider bringing water, as there will be a lot of time spent walking and outdoors.

4. Food, snacks and drinks are not provided by the Kids on Track Program, so please plan accordingly by either bringing money to purchase food or bringing a bagged lunch.

  1. Meeting Point: Proceed to meeting point at the Fan Zone located at Hart Plaza.
